Overview
Quantize Pro snaps animation to stepped timing — twos, threes, fours, sixes or a mixed pattern — and shows you the real spacing while you do it. An exposure-sheet-style timing strip reads the actual curves, so you are editing the holds that are genuinely in the shot, not a guess drawn from key count.
What it solves
Stepping timing by hand is slow and easy to get subtly wrong, and most tools infer the pattern from how many keys exist rather than from the spacing itself. Quantize Pro reads the curves directly and lets you preview before you commit, so the timing you apply is the timing you meant.
How it works
- Read the timing strip to see the true spacing and holds already in the shot.
- Choose a step pattern, or let it detect the pattern in the selection and match it.
- Preview the result as markers, composed over any bands you have already applied.
- Commit when it reads — the marker engine is shared, so other ROM tools agree about the timeline.

Which versions of Maya are supported?
Maya 2022 through 2026, on Windows and Linux. The Qt shim layer handles PySide2 and PySide6 automatically, so the same install works across versions.
Do I need to be online to use ROM AnimTools?
No. Pro licenses carry a 30-day offline grace period. Your tools keep working on set, on a plane, or behind a studio firewall.
What happens to my files if my subscription lapses?
Nothing. Paid features lock, but your pose libraries, brushes, and drawings are yours and stay on your disk. You fall back to the Starter bundle.
Can I use one license on more than one machine?
Yes — Pro includes seats you can activate and deactivate yourself from your account, so a desktop and a laptop are no problem.
